Oct 03, · Joan Peart, who runs the group wrote during the year following a week end course: The Gift of Music is one of John Rutter’s beautiful tunes, and we took this as the title of our Day of Dance. Our guest teacher was Brenda Kelly, who has made up dances to a lot of John Rutter’s music.
Sacred circle dance as we know it today was brought to Britain by Bernard Wosien, a German ballet master and choreographer. He was born on 19 September 1908, the son of a clergyman. From a very early age he danced folk dances with his family Leeds with Joan Peart - 8 pm first, third and fifth Tuesdays at St. Giles Church Hall, Bramhope.
